PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article with improved fitting property of a rear area where body shape is widely changed, and improved leakage prevention property without inhibiting the absorbed amount.
SOLUTION: An incontinent pad 1A includes a front surface sheet 2, a back surface sheet 3, and an absorbent layer 4 between the sheets, and the shape is vertically long. The absorbent layer 4 of the incontinent pad 1A includes a composite layer portion 40 where absorbent sheets having a superabsorbent polymer are piled up. The composite layer portion 40 is mounted respectively on an elimination area A which is directly attached on a body fluid elimination site of a wearer and a rear area B which is located posterior to the elimination area A. The composite layer portion mounted on the rear area B includes some bend portions 7 with horizontally long shape which are formed by a slit or an emboss and elongated in the width direction (X direction). The bent portions 7 with horizontally long shape are intermittently arranged side by side in the longitudinal direction (Y direction).
