PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disposable diaper for improving the engaging force of a fastening tape and a target sheet and not easily causing skin troubles due to a scratch or the like of the skin.
SOLUTION: The diaper 1A includes a pair of fastening tapes 6 and 6 extending outward in the width direction at both side portions 10b of a back side portion B in a main body 10 having an abdominal side portion A, the back side portion B and a clotch portion C, and includes a target sheet 7 to be engaged with the fastening tapes 6 at the abdominal side portion A. The target sheet 7 of the diaper 1A includes an engaging area 7a to be engaged with the fastening tape 6 at the center part in the longitudinal direction, fixing areas 7c with the main body 10 at both end parts in the longitudinal direction, and deforming buffer areas 7b to be deformed accompanying the movement of a diaper wearer between the engaging area 7a and the respective fixing areas 7c. For the diaper 1A, the target sheet 7 is not fixed to the main body 10 in the engaging area 7a and the deforming buffer areas 7b, and the target sheet 7 is fixed to the main body 10 in the fixing areas 7c.
