Fan, or device, portable (10) for administering a mixture of oxygen, argon and possibly other gases to patients suffering from ischemia following cardiac arrest, comprising: at least one bottle (12) containing the mixture of oxygen, argon and other possible gases； a valve (13), associated with the bottle (12), able to function as a first pressure reducer of the gas mixture that leaves directly from the bottle (12)； - a control unit (14), consisting of a PLC, in which are stored programs and algorithms that control the operation of the apparatus (10)； and - a second pressure reducer and a control system (16), both controlled by the PLC, of the gas mixture dispensed by the bottle (12) and coming from the first pressure reducer (13)； wherein the apparatus (10) is adapted to deliver to the patient the gas mixture at the reduced pressure supplied by the second pressure reducer and the control system (16) through a mask (17) which can be housed in a compartment (18) of the apparatus； and wherein the apparatus (10) is configured to operate in three different operating modes or options depending on the type of user, respectively an easy mode, an intermediate mode and an advanced mode for administering the gas mixture to the patient to be resuscitated.
