PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oil-in-water type emulsified cosmetic, which has a light extension to the skin, while having a high skin-improving effect, has no sticking, is moist with refreshing, is excellent in penetrating feeling and is excellent in stability.SOLUTION: This oil-in-water type emulsified cosmetic comprises (A) &ge0.3 mass% water-soluble thickening agent, having &le1 &mum mean emulsified particle diameter since the oil-in-water type emulsified cosmetic has been subjected to a high shearing treatment, and further satisfies the following conditions (1) to (2). (1) The hardness of the cosmetic measured by using a curd meter (pressure-sensing axis 11.3&Phi/200 g load value) at 25°C is 6 to 16.
