The present invention provides a novel method of reducing serum levels of Fc-containing agents (e. G., Antibodies and immunoconjugates) in an individual. The methods generally involve administering to a subject an effective amount of a separate FcRn-antagonist that specifically binds FcRn with increased binding capacity and reduced pH dependence over the native Fc region. The disclosed methods are particularly useful for treating antibody-mediated diseases (e. G.
