PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the electronic tonometer which can accurately determine the lowest blood pressure without causing variations due to the individual difference and measurement condition of a subject.SOLUTION: In this electronic tonometer, the biggest gradient point is detected between the bottom point of pulse wave elements that overlap the cuff pressure and a peak point where the cuff pressure level at the time when the pulse wave element is detected is determined as the lowest blood pressure when the phase difference t/T (the difference of time: t) that appears from the bottom point of the biggest gradient point becomes smaller than the specified threshold. Thus, the lowest blood pressure can be determined without using a variation profile of a swing range of pulse waves which are notably influenced by the individual difference and measurement condition of the subject.COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO【課題】被測定者の個体差や測定条件よるバラツキを生じることなく正確に最低血圧値を決定できる電子血圧計を提供すること。【解決手段】本発明の電子血圧計は、カフ圧力に重畳する脈波成分のボトム点からピーク点までの間で、最大勾配点を検出し、前記最大勾配点のボトム点からの出現の位相差t/T(時間差t)が、所定の閾値よりも小さくなるとき、その脈波成分を検出した時点でのカフ圧力の値を最低血圧値として決定する。このことにより、被測定者の個体差や測定条件の影響の大きい脈波振幅値の変化プロフィルを用いることなく、精度よく最低血圧値を決定できる。
