PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new technique for realizing, for example, alignment of a fundus of an eye to be inspected with an optical system of an apparatus with a simple configuration and processing. An ophthalmic apparatus includes an optical system, an acquisition unit, an analysis unit, and a control unit. The optical system includes an optical scanner and irradiates the eye to be inspected with light deflected by the optical scanner. The acquisition unit acquires an image of the anterior segment of the eye to be inspected. By analyzing the anterior segment image acquired by the acquisition unit, the analysis unit identifies the corneal incident position where light is incident on the cornea of the eye to be inspected and the rotation angle of the eye to be inspected, and is based on the corneal incident position and rotation angle. In the retina of the eye to be examined, the position of the incident on the retina where light is incident on the retina of the eye to be examined is specified. The control unit controls the optical scanner based on the displacement of the retinal incident position with respect to the reference position on the retina.
