PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surgical stapling apparatus to at least one of tissue-contact surfaces of a cartridge half section and an anvil half section of which a surgical support material is selectively connected.SOLUTION: The surgical stapling apparatus includes: a cartridge assembly which defines the tissue-contact surface an anvil assembly which defines the tissue-contact surface and the surgical support material which is releasably secured to at least one of the tissue-contact surfaces of the cartridge assembly and the tissue-contact surface of the anvil assembly with at least a single fixation material.
