The present invention relates to a method and assembly (1) for growing a hedge section displaceable as one whole. The present invention also relates to a hedge section displaceable as one whole and a hedge formed with it.According to the invention the growing process takes place in two stages. During a first growing stage the plants (3) are grown in separate containers (4). The plants are then grown further during a second growing stage whilst the plants are guided by a guide element (2). This forms a hedge section displaceable as one whole.
