Chelating agents containing diquafosol ophthalmic solution restrains the occurrence of insoluble precipitates observed during preservation of diquafosol containing ophthalmic solution and the lowering of filtration property in the manufacturing process (filtration sterilization process). In addition, the enhancement of preservative effect for chelating agents containing diquafosol ophthalmic solution is also observed. Accordingly, the present invention provides the diquafosol ophthalmic solution having stable physico-chemical quality in the manufacturing and distribution processes, and the preservation process by patients, in particular, efficient filtration sterilization is possible in the manufacturing process and also with excellent preservative effect. The present invention also provides a method of adding a chelating agent in aqueous ophthalmic solution containing diquafosol or a salt thereof, restraining the occurrence of insoluble precipitates from the above-mentioned aqueous ophthalmic solution.含有螯合劑之迪夸弗索點眼液可抑制迪夸弗索點眼液中被確認之保存時的不溶性析出物產生、及製造過程(過濾殺菌過程)中的過濾性降低。此外，亦確認了含有螯合劑之迪夸弗索點眼液其保存效力增強。因此，本發明提供一種迪夸弗索點眼液，其在製造及流通過程以及藉由患者的保存過程中均具有穩定的物理化學性質，特別是在製造過程中可有效的過濾殺菌，並具有優良的保存效力。又本發明亦提供一種方法，其係藉由對含有迪夸弗索或其鹽之水性點眼液添加螯合劑來抑制由該水性點眼液產生不溶性析出物。
