A foot switch (10) device for controlling the operation of an apparatus for dental or medical treatment comprising: (a) a base plate (24) for supporting the foot switch (10) on the ground device (B) a housing (26) fixed to the base plate (24), containing the housing (26) a first electrical switch (46) for transmitting a first signal to the apparatus and a second electrical switch (48) for transmitting a second signal the apparatus, and a drive assembly (56) for activating the switches (46, 48), so that the drive assembly (56) comprising: (i) a driving piston (58) capable of moving in the upward direction and downward, (c) a top cover (28) mounted in the housing (26) being movable cover relative to the housing (26) for engaging the drive piston (58) and (d) a collar connector (76) fixed to the top cover (28) to retain the cover on the housing (26) while allowing the cover to move up and down relative to the housing (26) wherein the drive assembly (56) further comprises a spring band (82) and (ii) a first tab activation switch (86), and (iii) a second pull tab switch (88), by whereby the spring band (82) surrounds a through hole of plunger (70) adapted to receive the plunger (58) and extending upwardly from the top surface (62) of the housing (26), and forces the first and second tongues activation switch (86, 88) into (4), wherein a force applied to the plunger (58) causes the plunger (58) is new down to a first position (figure 12), wherein the first switch drive tab (86) engages and forces the prime ra pull tab switch (86) to move outwardly, so that the spring encircling band (82) moves outward, causing the first switch (46) is activated, and a second force applied to the plunger ( 58) causes the plunger (58) to move downward to a second position (figure 13) where a second tab switch drive (88) engages and forces the second tab activation switch (88) to move out, so the surrounding band spring (82) moves out, thus causing the second switch (48) is activated.Un disp
