A contact lens applicator film (45) for picking up a contact lens (11) and applying the contact lens to an eye comprising: a sterilised film (45) wherein at least a portion of at least one side of the film comprises an adhesive coating that is arranged for adhering to the surface of a finger such that, in use, when applying the contact lens to the eye a user can pick up the contact lens applicator film with the finger and subsequently pick up the contact lens using the finger protected by the contact lens applicator film.Linvention concerne un film applicateur de lentille de contact (45) pour saisir une lentille de contact (11) et appliquer la lentille de contact sur un œil, comprenant : un film stérilisé (45), au moins une partie dau moins un côté du film comprenant un revêtement adhésif qui est conçu pour adhérer à la surface dun doigt de telle sorte que, en utilisation, lors de lapplication de la lentille de contact sur lœil, un utilisateur peut saisir le film applicateur de lentille de contact avec le doigt, puis saisir la lentille de contact avec le doigt protégé par le film applicateur de lentille de contact.
