The tray has a plurality of alveolar cavities (4) or cells whose side faces are joined to the side faces of the adjacent alveolar cavities and, where appropriate, to the adjacent perimeter wall, and comprising recesses (12) made in the lower edge of the perimeter wall, thereby facilitating aeration and handling.
