Disclosed are a sound detection system and a method for a hearing impaired person. The sound detection system for the hearing impaired person according to an embodiment of the present invention includes: a plurality of microphones for detecting a sound signal generated in a sound source and a wearable device for attaching to the body of the hearing impaired person, and generating a vibration corresponding to the pattern of the received sound signal to stimulate the body of the hearing impaired person when the pattern of the sound signal received from the microphone coincides with the sound signal pattern information generable in the sound source.
