PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light irradiator that can detect the quantity of light from a light irradiation part with an easily mountable structure.SOLUTION: The present light irradiator comprises a plurality of sets including a light irradiation part that is a surface light emitting laser and a detection element that detects the quantity of light emitted from the light irradiation part. The light irradiation part and the detection element in each of the sets are parts of the same laminate structure including active layers.
