The present invention relates to novel CRISPR related proteins and uses thereof. The protein represented by the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO: 1 or SEQ ID NO: 3 according to the present invention has an endonuclease activity that recognizes and cleaves a nucleic acid sequence in a cell coupled with a guide RNA. Thus, the novel CRISPR-associated protein of the present invention can be used as another nuclease to correct the genome in the CRISPR-Cas system.본 발명은 신규한 CRISPR 연관 단백질 및 이의 용도에 관한 것이다. 본 발명에 따른 서열번호 1 또는 서열번호 3의 아미노산 서열로 표시되는 단백질은 가이드 RNA와 결합된 세포 내 핵산 서열을 인식하여 절단하는 엔도뉴클레아제 활성을 가진다. 따라서, 본 발명의 신규한 CRISPR 연관 단백질은 CRISPR-Cas 시스템에서 유전체를 교정하는 또 다른 뉴클레아제로서 사용될 수 있다.
