PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an X-ray computed tomography apparatus capable of acquiring high-definition images by collecting data at a high density without changing a data collection device.SOLUTION: An X-ray computed tomography apparatus includes: an X-ray tube for generating an X-ray to be applied to a subject a high-voltage generation unit for generating a tube voltage to be applied to the X-ray tube an X-ray control unit for controlling the generation of the X-ray an X-ray detector for detecting the X-ray transmitted through the subject a data collection unit for collecting projection data related to the subject on the basis of an output of the X-ray detector and a reconstruction unit for reconstructing an image related to a cross section of the subject on the basis of the projection data collected by the data collection unit. While the X-ray tube and the X-ray detector make a half turn, the X-ray control unit generates the X-ray during a first period for each data collection period and, when making another half turn, executes a control to generate the X-ray during a second period other than the first period for each data collection period.
