PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique detecting defective elements in an optional stage.SOLUTION: An X-ray CT apparatus includes: an X-ray source an X-ray detector provided with a plurality of X-ray detection elements outputting analog data corresponding to the amount of detected X-rays a data collecting device which is mounted corresponding to each of the X-ray detection elements and includes the same number of data-collecting elements collecting digital data obtained by converting the analog data, as the number of the X-ray detection elements a rotating disk on which the X-ray source and the X-ray detector are mounted while facing each other and which rotates an image reconstruction device which creates reconstructed images an image display device and a defective element detecting part which detects defects in measurement elements composed of a pair of combinations of the X-ray detection elements and the data collection elements corresponding thereto.
