PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To measure the number of times of tapping with a plurality of fingers within a prescribed time without a supervisor by solving such a problem in a practice of a keyboard instrument that a practice effect does not appear in a tapping examination with one finger but the practice effect appears only by double tapping with two fingers.SOLUTION: The tapping counter device comprises: a plurality of input devices for detecting tapping keys a display device for displaying the number of times of tapping and a control part that, triggered by a measurement start signal, receives signals from the input devices, accumulates the number of times of tapping for every input device within a predetermined prescribed time, and displays the number of times of tapping of each key and the total number of times of tapping on the display device whenever there is a change in any number of times of tapping.
