Disclosed herein is a liquid formulation for administering nicotine, which is a medicated body lotion which comprises a solvent and nicotine, which is for transdermal administration of nicotine to a subject, which is devoid of tobacco and which is devoid of any uncrosslinked, water-insoluble vinylpyrrolidone copolymer being copolymerizable with a hydrophobic comonomer, and which further comprises one or more additives selected from the group consisting of moisturising agents, sunscreen agents, anti-wrinkle agents, vitamins and perfumes.
