The invention provides an endoscope which is capable of improving link strength of a cable link structure for a drawing force of a transmission table. The endoscope (60) includes: a shooting lens unit (11) having a shooting lens (14) and a housing (13) a prism holding structure (40) which is attached to one end portion of the housing an image area sensor (42) which is attached to an exit face of a prism (41) a circuit board (43) which drives the image area sensor a transmission cable (44) which is electrically connected to the circuit board and a cable link structure (45) one end portion of which is fastened to the transmission cable and other end portion of which is attached to a body structure having the prism holding structure and the housing, and the other end portion of the cable link structure is formed with a lock portion (47) locked to the body structure, and the lock portion limits the movements of the cable link structure towards two different directions relative to the body structure.
