The present invention relates to a tissue sampler for collecting tissue samples from animals or plants. The tissue sampler is adapted to hold a storage tube in which the tissue sample is placed and to hold a magazine with one or more collection devices. Each collection device includes a punch for cutting the tissue sample and a plunger for pushing the tissue sample into the storage tube. After each tissue sample is collected, the magazine can be moved so that the new collection device is ready to collect the next tissue sample.
