PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means easily setting full-scale scan conditions for improving an imaging efficiency when capturing a subject.
SOLUTION: When setting the full-scale scan conditions, this magnetic resonance imaging apparatus simulates a magnetic resonance image anticipated to be generated when the full-scale scan is performed under the scan conditions set then, displays a simulation image reflecting a designated slice region, a type of selected disease and an image contrast on a display screen as a preview image P and allows an operator to confirm the full-scale scan conditions before performing the full-scale scan. This apparatus stores data acquired by associating characteristic values generally measured in the human body with three-dimensional positions as characteristic data and performs the simulation based on the characteristic data.
