A non-invasive method and system for combined ultrasound treatment areprovided. Anexemplary combined ultrasound treatment system comprises a transducerconfigured to deliverultrasound energy to provide two or more energy effects to a region ofinterest. The energyeffects facilitate the initiation of one or more responses in the region ofinterest. In accordancewith an exemplary embodiment of the present invention, a transducer isconfigured to deliverenergy over varying temporal and/or spatial distributions in order to provideenergy effects andinitiate responses in a region of interest.
