PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a monofilament dental tape having better cleanability than a conventional monofilament floss, and positive properties such as a better in-mouth feel, interdental sliding, and resistance.SOLUTION: The tape includes monofilament dental tapes for removing plaque and/or food debris from interdental spaces of a mammal, wherein the dental tapes have a core body with an aspect ratio of greater than about 5:1 and a first cleaning surface and a second cleaning surface opposite to the first cleaning surface.
