PURPOSE: A livestock carcass treating apparatus is provided to prevent the infection of bacteria and to prevent environmental pollution by rapidly transferring livestock carcasses to dead livestock generated region and improving the efficiency of sterilization. CONSTITUTION: A livestock carcass treating apparatus includes a housing, an introducing door(13), a discharging door, a steam generator(17), a stirring screw, a cutting screw, and a screw driving unit. The housing includes a sterilizing chamber, an inlet, an outlet, and a steam jacket. The sterilizing chamber contains livestock carcasses. The steam generator is in connection with the steam jacket to provide steam to the steam jacket. The stirring screw stirs livestock carcasses in the sterilizing chamber. The cutting screw is in parallel with the stirring screw in order to ground the livestock carcasses in the sterilizing chamber. The screw driving unit provides torque to the stirring screw and the cutting screw.본 발명에 의한 동물사체 처리장치는, 동물사체를 수용하기 위한 살균실과 살균실에 동물사체를 투입하기 위한 투입구와 살균실에서 처리된 동물사체를 배출하기 위한 배출구 및 스팀을 수용하기 위한 스팀 자켓을 갖는 하우징, 투입구를 개폐하기 위해 하우징에 결합되는 투입구 도어, 배출구를 개폐하기 위해 하우징에 결합되는 배출구 도어, 스팀 자켓에 스팀을 제공하기 위해 스팀 자켓과 연결되는 스팀 발생기, 살균실에 수용되는 동물사체를 교반하기 위한 교반 스크류, 살균실에 수용되는 동물사체를 분쇄하기 위해 교반 스크류와 평행하게 배치되는 커팅 스크류, 교반 스크류에 회전력을 제공하는 교반 및 커팅 스크류에 회전력을 제공하는 스크류 구동장치를 포함한다. 본 발명에 의한 동물사체 처리장치는 트럭과 같은 운반장치에 실려 폐사 가축이 발생한 지역으로 신속히 이동할 수 있다. 그리고 동물사체의 투입, 파쇄, 교반, 살균 및 배출이 일관작업으로 이루어지므로 편리하고 살균 처리 효과가 우수하다.
