A device for investigating liquids comprises a sensor (2) electrically and mechanically connected via an interface module (3) to mobile transmitting equipment (4). Preferred Features: The interface module is also connected to plug connectors (27, 30, 34, 37, 39, 55, 57) and is equipped with a voltage regulator (43), pre-amplifier (45), a global positioning system (53) and a processor (47). The voltage regulator is connected via an electric conducting pathway (56) and a one plug connector (57) to voltage supply of the mobile transmitting equipment. The processor is connected via a serial data line (54) and one plug connector (55) to the data storage unit (61) of the mobile transmitting equipment.
