PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a suture thread with a needle capable of easily forming a narrow part at an end of a monofilament suture thread of ePTFE, and as a result, with little difference in the diameter between the suture thread and a suture needle.SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing the suture thread includes: a step of boring a stopper hole 12 along the longitudinal direction of a proximal end 11 at the end surface 11a of the proximal end 11 of the suture needle 10 a step of forming the narrow part 20a by applying pressure to the end of the porous suture thread 20 fibrillated with the monofilament of ePTFE from at least three directions at the same time and a step of inserting and caulking the narrow part into the stopper hole 12.
