PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a remedy for Menieres disease safely, surely and quickly exerting the drug effect while reducing a dose and suitable for long-term administration to solve such problems that the existing remedy therefor containing a sugar or sugar alcohol as active ingredients has problems such as requiring a large dose since it is difficult to reduce the amount of administration, needing a long time before the expression of the drug effect, and being unsuitable for long-term administration.SOLUTION: The effects of sugars or sugar alcohols serving as the principal agent on internal ears are monitored in both of an operated side and normal side. As a result, it is confirmed that an elevation in the osmotic pressure of plasma and an increase in plasma AVP can be prevented and the effect of reducing endolymphatic hydrops can be safely, surely expressed by reducing the dose of the principal agent. Eliminating additives not directly related to the treatment as much as possible, prevents a rise in the osmotic pressure of plasma and an increase in plasma AVP caused by the additives. The sure expression of the effect of the principal agent can be successfully established even by using the principal agent only in a small amount. The side effect associated with the large amount of administration can also be prevented by reducing the amount of the principal agent.COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT【課題】 糖又は糖アルコールを有効成分とする従来のメニエール病治療薬は、大量に内服する必要があり、投与量の削減は困難であった。そのため、効果発現までに長時間を要する上、長期投与に適さないなどの問題点があった。その理由を解明し、投与量の削減を図りつつ、安全で、しかしながら確実に、且つ迅速に作用を発現し、長期投与にも適したメニエール治療薬を開発することにある。【解決手段】 主薬である、糖又は糖アルコールの内耳に対する効果を、術側、正常側の双方で観測し、主薬の投与量を削減することで、血漿浸透圧、血漿AVPの上昇を阻止して、内リンパ水腫減荷効果が安全且つ確実に発現することを確認した。治療に関係のない添加剤を可能な限り排除して、添加剤による血漿浸透圧、血漿AVPの上昇をも阻止し、主薬が少量であっても、その効果を確実に発現させることに成功した。主薬の量を削減することで、大量投与に伴う副作用に阻止できた。【選択図】 なし
