THE PRESENT INVENTION RELATES TO A METHOD OF PRODUCING CARBONATED APATITE IN A POWDERED AND DENSE FORM TO BE USED IN A VARIETY OF BIOMEDICAL APPLICATIONS, THE METHOD COMPRISING MIXING GROUND CALCIUM PHOSPHATE AND TRI-SODIUM CITRATE DEHYDRATE SOLUTION UNTIL HOMOGENOUS AND HEATING THE MIXTURE UNTIL DRY FURTHER CRUSHING THE DRIED MIXTURE TO POWDERY FORM AND HEATING THE POWDERY DRIED MIXTURE IN A MOIST ATMOSPHERIC CONDITION AND FINALLY, COOLING DOWN THE HEATED MIXTURE IN A CONTINUOUS FLOW OF CARBON DIOXIDE TO ROOM TEMPERATURE.
