PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a balloon catheter capable of protecting a surface temperature sensor, improving the accuracy of temperature measurement of a balloon surface, and reducing lead wire breakage and fluid leakage from the balloon due to deformation of the balloon. SOLUTION: A double tube shaft composed of an outer cylinder shaft 10 and an inner cylinder shaft 3 that can slide with each other, a balloon 2 having a two-layer structure composed of an inner layer film 2b and an outer layer film 2a, and the inner layer film 2b and the outer layer film 2b. It has surface temperature sensors 8a and 8b arranged between 2a and temperature sensor lead wires 9a and 9b connected to the surface temperature sensors 8a and 8b, and the surface temperature sensor is the inner layer film 2b or the above. The temperature sensor lead wires 9a and 9b are fixed to the outer layer film 2a, and the temperature sensor lead wires 9a and 9b are inserted between the inner layer film 2b and the outer layer film 2a from the fixing portions of the tip portion of the inner cylinder shaft 3 and the tip portion of the balloon 2.
