PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a grip cover set and a racket changeable in grip thickness without changing the weight and balance of the racket by preparing a plurality of grip covers with the same inner diameter dimension and weight but with different thickness, and replacing the grip cover mounted to the racket, with the one with different weight.SOLUTION: The grip cover 1 is of octagonal cylinder shape. Opposite two side faces 1a of the grip cover 1 are provided with a plurality of openings 2 used as engaging parts at spaces in the longitudinal direction of the grip cover 1. A part 3 near the base end of the grip cover 1 has a diameter enlarged toward the end side. The part 3 near the base end includes voids 4, 5, 6 for offsetting an weight increase caused by a thickness increase.【課題】グリップ被覆体として内径寸法及び重量は同一であるが厚みが異なるものを複数個用意しておき、ラケットに装着するグリップ被覆体を別重量のものに交換することにより、ラケットの重量やバランスを変えることなくグリップ太さを変えることができるグリップ被覆体セット及びラケットを提供する。【解決手段】グリップ被覆体１は、八角形の筒状である。グリップ被覆体１の対向する２側面１ａには、グリップ被覆体１の長手方向に間隔を置いて複数個の係合部としての開口２が設けられている。グリップ被覆体１の基端近傍部分３は、末端側ほど径が大きくなっている。この基端近傍部分３には、厚み増加による重量増加を相殺するための空所４，５，６が設けられている。【選択図】図１
