The method involves forming analytical aids by mask etching as a mold portion (10) from a metallic flat material with separation of materials in the form of sharp-edged molding edges. The molding edge is post-processed by laser irradiation. The laser beam along an irradiation path in irradiation intervals is fed away several times on the mold portion and molding edge is rounded by the accumulated energy input of the laser beam.
