PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a treatment instrument for an endoscope, forming indexes for a flexible tube to be easily visually recognized in an observation screen of the endoscope at a low cost, allowing the distal end position of a distal end treatment member inside the flexible tube to be easily visually recognized, and safely used for long time.
SOLUTION: The treatment instrument for the endoscope is inserted into a treatment instrument insertion channel of the endoscope 20 to be used. The distal end treatment member 12 projects/retracts from/to the distal end of the transparent or translucent flexible tube 11 by the operation from the proximal end side. A plurality of opaque index lines 15 are embedded parallel to the axis of the flexible tube 11 at least in the area around the distal end of the flexible tube 11 in such a state that at least one index line is present in the range of 180° around the axis of the flexible tube 11.
