The present invention relates to a composition for preventing or treating cancer, comprising an ERGIC3 inhibitor, a gene therapy agent, a drug carrier, and an aerosol formulation thereof. The ERGIC3 inhibitor of the present invention induces ER stress in cancer cells and thus induces the autophagy of the cancer cells, thereby being able to inhibit the proliferation of the cancer cells and promote death of the cancer cells. In particular, normal cells do not induce such autophagy, thereby being able to be usefully used as a cancer cell-specific therapeutic agent without toxicity.본 발명은 ERGIC3 억제제를 포함하는 암 예방 또는 치료용 조성물, 유전자 치료제, 약물 전달체 및 이의 에어로졸 제형에 관한 것이다. 본 발명의 ERGIC3 억제제는 암세포에서 ER 스트레스를 유도하고 이에 따라 암세포의 자식작용을 유도함으로써 암 세포의 증식억제 및 사멸을 촉진할 수 있으며, 특히 정상 세포에서는 이와 같은 자식작용을 유도하지 않아 독성이 없는 암 세포 특이적 치료제로 유용하게 이용할 수 있다.
