PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catheter device which increases a pressing force of a catheter or a guide wire against a lesion site to thereby enable efficient treatment to be performed within a living body lumen using the catheter and guide wire.SOLUTION: A catheter 10 has, in a portion of an inner peripheral surface forming a lumen of the catheter, a ridge 151 and a recessed portion 152 helically formed coaxially with the catheter, the recessed portion being formed along the ridge. A guide wire 30 has, in a portion of an outer peripheral surface of the guide wire, a projected portion 310 and a groove portion 320 helically formed coaxially with the guide wire, the groove portion being formed along the projected portion. The catheter and the guide wire are configured to be engageable with the ridge inserted in the groove portion and the projected portion inserted into the recessed portion.
