The present invention relates to prevention of hair loss and promotion of hair growth of red ginseng oil and/or a red ginseng extract. When the composition of the present invention is subject to an oral administration and/or transdermal topical application method, a remarkable hair growth effect is exhibited in general hair loss, and a remarkable therapeutic effect against androgenic hair loss is exhibited. Therefore, the red ginseng oil and/or the red ginseng extract can be used as a pharmaceutical composition for preventing or treating hair loss, and as a cosmetic composition for preventing hair loss and promoting hair growth.본 발명은 홍삼 오일 및/또는 홍삼 추출물의 탈모 예방 및 발모 촉진 효과에 관한 것으로, 본원발명의 조성물을 경구 투여 및/또는 경피 국소 도포 방법으로 처리시, 일반 탈모에서 현저한 발모 효과를 나타냈으며, 안드로젠성 탈모에 대해 현저한 치료 효과를 나타냈으므로, 홍삼 오일 및/또는 홍삼 추출물을 탈모 예방 및 치료용 약학적 조성물과 탈모 예방 및 발모 촉진용 화장료 조성물로 이용할 수 있다.
