Light screening composition comprising a dibenzoylmethane derivative, a lipophilic amide and a compound capable of accepting energy from the excited triplet state of dibenzoylmethane process for photostabilsation
Topical photostabilized, photoprotective cosmetic/dermatological composition (I) comprises effective UV-screening amount of at least one dibenzoylmethane sunscreen (A) an effective photostabilizing amount of at least one oil (B) containing at least one amide structural unit at least one compound accepting the excited triplet level energy of (A) and a topically applicable, cosmetically/dermatologically acceptable support (D). Independent claims are also included for: (1) a process for photostabilizing a dibenzoylmethane sunscreen against UV-radiation, comprising combining same with at least one oil containing at least one amide structural unit and at least one compound accepting the excited triplet level energy of the dibenzoylmethane sunscreen and (2) a regime or regimen for photoprotecting the skin, lips, nails, hair, eyelashes, eyebrows and/or scalp against the damaging effects of UV-radiation, comprising topically applying (I).
