There is provided clear skin cleansing compositions comprising:water； a low molecular weight non-crosslinked, linear acryliccopolymer in an amount comprising from about 0.03 weight percent toabout 2.1 weight percent of the skin cleansing composition； asurfactant component comprising a blend of at least two amphotericsurfactants selected from the group consisting of ampholyticsynthetic and zwitterionic surfactants. The blend of at least twoamphoteric surfactants is present in an amount of between 0.0015 to15 weight percent of the skin cleansing composition. The skincleansing composition has a pH of less than 6 and is free fromanionic surfactants, the surfactant component of the skin cleansingcomposition is less than 20 weight percent of the skin cleansingcomposition, and the skin cleansing composition has an absorbance ofless than 0.22 as determined by the Clarity Absorbance Test.
