The current invention provides a method of forming polymeric microspheres loaded with therapeutic agent, comprising: a. exposing porous polymeric microspheres to an organic solvent comprising a dissolved therapeutic agent thereby creating microspheres loaded with therapeutic agent, b. separating the microspheres loaded with therapeutic agent from the organic solvent, c. washing the microspheres loaded with therapeutic agent with water, and d. drying the washed microspheres. The microspheres are particularly useful in embolization therapy.La présente invention concerne un procédé de formation de microsphères polymères chargées avec un agent thérapeutique, comprenant les étapes consistant à : a. exposer des microsphères polymères poreuses à un solvant organique comprenant un agent thérapeutique dissous, créant ainsi des microsphères chargées avec l'agent thérapeutique, b. séparer les microsphères chargées avec l'agent thérapeutique présentes dans le solvant organique, c. laver les microsphères chargées avec l'agent thérapeutique avec de l'eau, et d. sécher les microsphères lavées. Les microsphères sont particulièrement utiles dans la thérapie d'embolisation.
