PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the reliability of control by a processor without making the operation of an imaging device unstable.SOLUTION: The control data formed by the CPU 82 of the processor 14 is transmitted through a serial line 98 to be housed in the register 80 of a CMOS imaging device 54 and the respective parts of the CMOS imaging device 54 perform various processings according to a register value. Further, the register value is superposed on the imaging signal outputted from the CMOS imaging device 54 to be transmitted to the processor 14 through an LVDS line 96. In the CPU 82 of the processor 14, decision processing (status check processing) for deciding whether the register value extracted from the imaging signal coincides with the control data is performed and, in a case that these data do not coincide with each other, the control data is retransmitted to the CMOS imaging device 54.
