The invention relates to a syringe cap (1) for a medical syringe, comprising a first cap part (2) and a second cap part (3) which are joined such that they can move in relation to one another, wherein a display element (12) for displaying a first use is joined to the first cap part (2). According to the invention, in order to provide a syringe cap for a medical syringe, having an advantageous development with regards to a cooperation of the display element with the cap parts, the display element (12) and the second cap part (3) have an engaging formation (13, 15), being connected to one another in an engaging manner, wherein the engaging formation (13, 15) of the display element (12) and/or of the second cap part (3) is elastically bendable.
