PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sunscreen cosmetic which has a high UV protection effect, is non-greasy, and is excellent in storage stability as a main UV absorbent having a liquid UV absorbent having a very low UV absorbance per weight concentration. SOLUTION: The component contains (a) a salicylic acid-based liquid ultraviolet absorber in an amount of 5 to 15% by mass (b) an alkyl silicone wax having a melting point of 60° C. or higher in an amount of 0.5 to 3% by mass (c) a low-viscosity silicone oil. The value ({(b)+(c)}/amount of liquid oil content) obtained by dividing the sum of the amounts of (b) and (c) by the amount of liquid oil content is 0.2 to 0.6.
