PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control the display mode of an image captured by a radiation with the use of a square plane detector in response to an imaging purpose between an imaging mode to preserve an image and an imaging mode not to preserve an image.SOLUTION: A radiographic imaging apparatus includes: an imaging unit for imaging the radiographic image of a subject a discrimination unit for discriminating whether an imaging mode is a mode to preserve a radiographic image in a storage unit or a mode not to preserve an image a first calculation unit for calculating image size information of a radiographic image a second calculation unit for calculating image display area information indicating the size of an image display area capable of displaying a radiographic image by a display unit a first determination unit for determining a rotation condition for rotation when the display unit performs displaying and a second determination unit for determining a scaling condition for scaling.
