PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seawater-purifying apparatus which can remarkably reduce the number of water exchanges due to the accumulation of nitrate nitrogen components in a seawater purification system needed on the existence or raising of seawater fishes, and can also reduce the total volume of the seawater purification system to lower the running cost, and to provide a seawater-purifying method.SOLUTION: Disposed is a seawater-purifying system having an electrolysis tank, a reaction tank filled with an adsorbent, and a tank filled with a removing material for removing by-products produced by the degradation reactions of an excessive oxidant component and hypochlorous acid with organic substances, in a water circulation route having a water tank for receiving fishes or shellfishes. Contaminants such as ammonia, organic materials and the like excreted from the fishes or shellfishes are adsorbed on the surface of the adsorbent together with the hypochlorous acid and simultaneously reacted with each other, thereby not accumulating nitrogen components during the raising of the fishes or shellfishes.COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT【課題】海水魚を生存もしくは飼育する際に必要となる海水浄化システムにおいて、硝酸性窒素成分の蓄積による水換えを著しく軽減し、海水浄化システム全体の容量を少なくしてランニングコストを低減させる海水浄化装置及び海水浄化方法を提供する。【解決手段】魚介類を収容する水槽を含む循環水路内に、電気分解槽と、吸着材を充填した反応槽と、過剰なオキシダント成分や次亜塩素酸と有機物の分解反応において生成した副生成物を除去するための除去材を充填した槽を備えた海水浄化システムを設ける。魚介類の排出するアンモニアや有機物等の汚濁物質を、電気分解槽で生成した次亜塩素酸と共に、前記吸着材表面に吸着させて反応させ、飼育中に窒素成分を蓄積させない。この海水浄化システムは、従来の海水浄化システムに比べて著しく小容量化できるため、メンテナンスを容易にし、ランニングコストを低減できる。【選択図】 図1
