The invention relates to medicine, namely to surgery and can be usedfor predicting the risk of developing severe chronic venous insufficiency in patients with varicose veins.Summary of the invention consists in performing the clinical and paraclinical examination of the patient with the determination of the following risk factors and scoring, namely: for the body weight with the body weight index of 30 kg/m2 and more - 13 points, the presence of one or more concomitant chronic diseases - 8 points, the level of fibrinogen in the blood higher than 4 g/L - 12 points, the saphenous reflux extended to the lower 1/3 of tibia - 17 points and the absence of incompetent inflows of the saphena vein on the thigh - 11 points. In the case when the sum of scores is greater than 20 it is predicted the presence of a risk of developing severe chronic venous insufficiency.Invenţia se referă la medicină şi anume la chirurgie şi poate fi aplicată pentru pronosticarea riscului de dezvoltare al insuficienţei venoase cronice severe la bolnavii cu maladia varicoasă.Esenţa invenţiei constă în aceea că se efectuează examenul clinic şi paraclinic al bolnavului cu determinarea următorilor factori de risc şi atribuirea unor puncte, şi anume: pentru masa corporală cu indicele masei corporale de 30 kg/m2 şi mai mult - 13 puncte, prezenţa unei sau mai multor maladii cronice concomitente - 8 puncte, nivelul fibrinogenului în sânge mai mare de 4g/L - 12 puncte, refluxul safenian extins până la 1/3 inferioară a gambei - 17 puncte şi lipsa tributarilor incompetente a venei safene la nivelul coapsei - 11 puncte.
