PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a storage box that does not spoil the landscape even when placed outdoor in a garden, and may also prevent theft of and mischief to stored objects.SOLUTION: A storage box has a box body 10 that stores an object 50 in the internal space and a gabled roof 20 that covers the box body 10. The roof 20 may be opened, and an opening 31 is formed when the roof 20 is opened for putting in and taking out the object 50. The roof 20 comprises a ridge piece 21, main roof boards 22 supported rotatably on the ridge piece 21, a waterproof sheet laid over the crown of the ridge piece 21 and the boundaries between the main roof board 22 and the ridge piece 21, and ridge roof boards 24 supported rotatably on the ridge piece 21 and cover the waterproof sheet.
