PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coil body, the tip part of which can be bent in a desired shape and which can improve blood vessel selectivity in a three-dimensional space, and a guide wire using the same.SOLUTION: A coil body 30 comprises a joint 33 around which yarn 32 is spirally wound and in which the adjacent pieces of yarn 32 are joined together. The plurality of joints 33 are provided from the tip side of the coil body 30 to the base end side thereof.
