PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a headphone having a pulse detecting function and, when listening the music alone, preventing the degradation of the similar function and wear feeling to those of the conventional headphone.
SOLUTION: The basic structure of this headphone is a vertical in-the-ear type. The pulse detector 3 incorporates a pulse sensor and its interval toward a band root part 1a connected to the side a left housing 2 is connected by a detector cord 4. When non-detecting the pulse as shown in Fig.(a), the left/right sides of the band root part 1a are defined as attachment parts, or clamping retention objects of the pulse detector 3. The distal end of an extension part 2b has a forward curved face and perpendicularly curved to become a pulse detector abutment part, on which the distal end of a main clip piece 3a abuts. When detecting the pulse, an earlobe is clamped by the distal ends of the main clip piece 3a and a sub clip piece 3b.
