PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article which has preferable cushion property in wearing time, in which wet back after body fluid absorption is less, and use feeling is preferable, and which can further improve lateral leakage prevention property of body fluid.SOLUTION: A diaper 1 of the invention comprises a vertically-long absorbent body 5 comprising: a surface sheet 2； a rear surface sheet 3； and an absorber 4 arranged between the sheets 2, 3. The absorbent body 5 is divided into a back side area B and a crotch area C. The surface sheet 2 is formed of a nonwoven fabric which is bulky.
